Dr. Michael J. Adams is the president of Faith Evangelical Seminary in Tacoma, Washington. He has been with the seminary in various capacities since 1988, including: Executive Vice-president, Academic Dean, and Professor of Applied Theology. Before joining the seminary he served two churches as senior pastor.
He is a graduate of the University of Oregon earning a Bachelor of Science in Rhetoric and Public Address. Called into Christian ministry in 1978 he completed a Master of Divinity in pastoral studies at Regent College in Vancouver, British Columbia. He completed his formal education by earning a Doctor of Ministry in New Testament and Homiletics from the Claremont School of Theology.
Dr. Adams serves as a Commissioner for the Transnational Association of Christian Colleges and Schools, an accrediting agency recognized by the United States Department of Education and the Council for Higher Education Accreditation. In addition to his seminary duties, he serves as the Executive Director of Polynesian Missions, an organization dedicated to the advance of the Gospel in the Kingdom of Tonga and the South Pacific. Dr. Adams is married to Kimberly, his wife of 32 years. They have two daughters: Alison (26), and Lindsey (23). This year (2008) he is celebrating his 20th year of service to the seminary and his 30th year in full-time Christian ministry.
